Nokia Unveils its First Android Tablet N1

Yesterday, at the opening of the Slush 2014 Conference, Nokia unveils its new N1 tablet that is the first android tablet after selling its mobile division to Microsoft. The all new N1 tablet’s design is inspired by iPad mini as it comes with aluminum casing, 7.9-inch screen with the same 2048 x 1536 resolution and curved styling.

By looking at the Nokia N1 tablet, we can say that there is a dead ringer for Apple’s iPad mini. Just under seven months after selling its mobile version to Microsoft for $7.2 billion, Nokia is back in the market to show its magic. Well, the similarity of both the devices is not stopped here as you can find various other points that are quite similar with iPad mini.

This upcoming N1 tablet will be sold first in China for $249 by way of distribution and manufacturing partnership with Foxconn. The company has carefully placed the camera buttons and headphone jack.

At the bottom of the device, you can find the same speaker grills and there is one port that looks like a lighting port, but it is the first implementation of the new technology reversible Type-C USB connector for charging and syncing. Looking like an iPad mini, the company has gone further as it enhances Apple’s popular tablet.

Powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 clocked at 2.3GHz alongside 2GB of RAM, the all new tablet has an 8-megapixels rear camera and 5-megapixels front facing camera, so both cameras are capable of capturing some of the amazing pictures that you wish for. It has an internal storage of 32GB with no option for more or less, but users, who need more space, can get a memory card reader.

Nokia’s latest N1 tablet will be shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop and Nokia Z Launcher, but the company said that it will be manufactured and distributed by Nokia partner Foxconn. Moreover, it will handle support as well as other popular product responsibilities.
